Getta Robo was created by Profesor Saotome to defencd the Earth against alien
invasion. It was made for diverity. The three jets that make up Getta Robo could unite
into three different robots. One for the ocean, one for land speed, and one for air combat.
Here is the story of the first series as supplied by Arga:
In the first season Getta Robo fought against an underworld empire
ruled by King Gore. The robots of this empire always have a dinosaur shape.
Getta Robo was considered destroyed when King Gore launched his final attack.
King Gore create a most powerful dinosaur robot and attack the city. He lead
the attack by himself, boarding this new powerful robot.
Getta Robo lost its arm, and was damaged beyong repair. So Musashi took
Prof.Saotome's daughter's jet, armed it with a super bomb and attacked the
last enemy robot. However he could not fire the bomb because he had to dodge
the enemy's fires. So he flew the jet directly into the dinosaurs mouth,
down into its throat and then explode there, killing King Gore and the
robot.
I've alwasy thought that Getta Robo's ability to become one of three robots was neat.
This first version's ability is deluded in that Getta 2 and 3 don't come close to comparing
to Getta 1 so they wind up going to it more often. This gets fixed a bit with Getta Robo G. The images in this page are from Shin Getta Robo. Would have perfered to use images from the original series but lacking them I put them in from this series as they look cool.
Getta Robo was created by Dr. Saotome. It was piloted by Ryouma Nakare in Getta
1, Hayato Jin in Getta 2, and Musashi in Getta 3.
GETTA 1:
GETTA BEAM: This is the most used attack by Getta 1. It was also his most
powerful. A powerful beam came from a space underneath his chest plate.
GETTA TOMAHAWK: The name is a little misleading. It's actually more of an
axe. The axe could be used hand to hand or be thrown. It was a pretty powerful
attack.
GETTA 2:
GETTA VISION: Getta 2 is a speed demon. It can easily avoid most attacks. This
Getta doesn't really use it like a weapon as much as the next one.
GETTA DRILL: Getta 2 would use his drill hand do make rather large holes in this
enemies. A deadly combination with his pincer.
DRILL MISSILE: Getta 2 could launch his drill hand at a openent to deal heavy
damage.
ELECTRIC ATTACK: I really don't know whats its called but Getta 2 would
throw electricity from his Drill hand. I haven't seen it, just heard of it.
GETTA 3:
GETTA MISSILE: Getta 3 could launch missiles from each side of his head. They
were ordinary missiles, nothing too special.
GETTA STORM: Getta 3 could cause a tornado, causing great harm to his
opponent. This is probably the most powerful weapon the three robots had.
